Thanks for your reply but im so annoyed that they have already took a whole damn year for the process they cudve done this investigation earlier. I feel so miserable that what possibly can i do to harm them if i get my visa?? Im just too fed up without being my hubby around Im 27! I really want to strt a family now It's getting late. But my hubby wudnt allow me to suffer from all pregnancy without him. He wants me there only thn he wud allow for the baby. Im dying. Im helpless. They should understand the pain of hung up there with no hope and so many problems. Please pray for me guys. Im SOO heartbroken SOOO exhausted!!!!

Did you read about the San Bernadino, California attack? Everyone on this entire website wants to be with their loved one. My personal journey has been 1 1/2 years of waiting to date.

You my dear, are not the only one who wishes to start a life with a spouse.

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/523897-new-islamabad-ap-tracker-part-iii-merged-thread/

Maybe you would like to read about Natasha who has been separated from her husband for almost 2 years due to AP:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/529081-cr1ir1-k-visa-stuck-in-ap-administrative-processing-after-interview-rant/

Please take this time to read and educate yourself on the process. It will help you understand better. Patience is key.

Good Luck!

I think there were a fair share of female applicants getting AP before the San Bernadino attacks, though. Articles that I have read said that the female attacker used a face Facebook ID to post whatever she may have, so the USEm would not have caught that anyhow.

It's up to each officer to decide which checks to run, from what I have read. Some are more extensive than others and most times they rely on the response from other agencies, so they are waiting to get to the next step too.

Ok. I never researched it or anything. I just saw a post on here about someone saying more women seem to be getting AP now when it seemed it was mostly men before, which tied into my thoughts of what I heard them say on the news about women needing to be scrutinized more after San Bernardino. And then your comments about all the checks made me think of how I heard on the news about how social media wasnt being looked at much because of fears of being politically incorrect and how that might be some added checks now too. Was just some thoughts I was thinking about.

Aliya, Here I am upset that my EAD and GC is taking ages to process. I should be grateful that at least I am with my husband right now. I am sorry that you are not with him right now. I hope you hear back from Islamabad consulate very soon.

I would email the embassy and tell them you accidentally gave them the wrong number and give them the correct one.

AP can last weeks, months and even years. It lasted 16 months for us and we were refused and started over with a K1 and were approved the second

time around.

Three weeks may seem like an eternity to you but really, it is nothing.

An E2 ? For what ? To prolong it even more ? It certainly wouldn't be quicker with AP added.

Focus on getting ready for him to come and be positive and thankful that you can be together soon. You have waited this long, surely you can have a bit of patience for the final process.

You are being a bit dramatic. Perhaps you should have been in Paki with him while waiting. Our visa journey took 5 years and I am still alive, so no,

you are not dying and you are not helpless, you just need to exercise some patience and be thankful for the things that do go right in your life.

What do you mean what can you do to harm them ?!

What i meant was that my mind is so occupied with my future nd family how wud i ever imagine to harm them!?? I thank Almighty for this relationship I have with my hubby why wud i ever want to ruin anybody's life!?? Why this security concerns nd checks are taking forever. Nobody got time for that BS to harm anyone. Some illiterate muslims have ruined the image of whole muslim nation. We're the nation who is taught love and peace from the very beginning of our lives.

As far as im being dramatic: i met my hubby 8yrs ago in Pakistan Lahore. Nd we had to struggle for consecutive 7 yrs Because of our parents. Then we finally got married. He can't visit me often because of his job in NY. Nd even after this whole time we still can't live together!! So it sucks nd it does make me feel like dying!

You talk too much like this and they will think you also have some issue of the mind that needs to be cured before you can come. Find things to keep busy while you wait so that you don't make things slower.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Aliya.26 Girl i know how you feel! But oh my! Waiting 8 years?! TRUE LOVE! Very admirable :)

Now in this process I'm sure you know how things work by now ... The USCIS, NVC and the US Consulate have procedures that they have to abide by just like any other organization and in your case you are not the only one that has to wait even after the interview. There are thousands of other husbands and wives out there and out here on VJ. 3 things - Hope, faith and patience carries a lot of weight and goes a long way .... trust me on that .. no one wants to be upset but that is your choice. You cant beat US Immigration so it's either you choose to think positive and look to be happy and enjoy your everyday life somehow or think negatively and stress and upset yourself.

Spend time with your close friends and family there in Pakistan as much as you want and can because you have a whole lifetime to spend with your husband.

VJ is a good pass time and you learn a lot from the people here and from their experiences.

You have come a long way so can do this!.. remember that we are not tested beyond our capacity...

All the best to you and yours Aliya.26 :star:

You can say that all you want, but USCIS cannot simply take your word for it that you're going to come here and not cause issues. As for feeling like dying? Perhaps some counselling is in order.

Absolutely agree

Aliya, don't feel like you are being ganged up on this thread. People may seem a bit harsh, but it's the truth. Don't reject them as being mean; think about what they are actually saying. There are several factors that are keeping you and your husband apart. He could visit you more often, but he's prevented. You two could have decided to build your life in Pakistan, but you both chose the US. The thing is you aren't getting upset with these circumstances; in fact, you may feel they are completely necessary. My point is that you are CHOOSING to feel anxiety about this process.

In our case, we didn't know if/when we would be out of AP and we were scared that we would be one of the many "unending" AP cases. Thankfully, ours was rather short, but I didn't want this process to eat me up. We would limit how much we spoke about the visa process with each other - perhaps to 15 minutes each day. The rest of the time, we talked about our future, our day, our dreams, what was happening that week and most importantly, our love. Of course we would get discouraged, but the other person would try to cheer the other up (we did really well with that) and in the back of my mind, I always felt like I had other options to be with him.

Remember that the embassy is working on many, many, many, many other cases, and yours is waiting in the queue. Your wait hasn't been too long; however, you don't know when it will end. I may end tomorrow, next week, next month, who knows? Don't think about what date the visa will be issued or else that will poison your mind and steal any joy in your life. Just feel like the visa will be issued in the near future and that you will hear something soon.

Just like it's not your fault that the US government has to perform these security checks, it's also not the US government's fault that they need to perform all these security checks.
