Hi guys! I'm starting to file for my husband and 2 kids, I have been without a job for so long so I am asking for my cousin to sponsor, she makes more than the poverty guideline and my best friend will also sponsor. My question is this, my friend is a green card holder who just started working in the states last January 2015, she only has her taxed for 2015, she makes more than enough tho, is that okay? or do I need to find someone whose taxes have been for the past 3 years?

Hello,

You cannot have 2 co-sponsors, only one. CIS is only concerned with current income so the most recent federal income tax return is sufficient along with recent pay stubs, recent wage statements, and verification of employment.

Make sure you double check the income based on the sponsor's household size (make sure to include yourself) against the I-864P.

Good luck

If your cousin or your friend makes at least 31000 a year (36000 if there is one other person in their household), then your good. As far as I know, they don't add the sponsor-ships together, so there isn't really a need to have two.
