Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

If NWA ever pulls their heads out far enough to wonder why I will NOT fly them anymore, I'll be sure to send them this little gem.

Between this, the trying to charge for *pillows* last time, and their insane crews out of Detroit, they can go to hell in a handbasket for all I care.

It's nearly as bad as the dining out experience we had last night.. Do any of these companies remember that *customers* use their services and pay their bills? That we might have something to say about "service"?

grrr.

lol... and *that* was the diplomatic version!

The worst part is---I *almost* have enough miles on them for a free ticket, but spite is keeping me from collecting.

tsk. I can carry a grudge for a looooong time!

Hahah! I live in Detroit so I almost have no chance of a direct flight unless it is out on NWA. I saw this story on the news yesterday and thought they were kidding. The least they can do is create seats with more leg room like United and AA do (did? do they still have their first 4-5 rows with more room?).

I took Continental Airlines this Christmas to fly to India (they have direct flight service out of Newark to New Delhi, it was a 16 hour flight). I asked the flight attendant for a Baily's Irish Creme and she hands me the little liquor bottle and says "$5 please"? I was like, "What?? I thought liquor was free on a international flights??". She says "Well, we have to make up our losses somehow for all the people that bought cheap tickets". I looked at her and laughed. I paid $1800 for my seat. Not cheap for a ticket to India (they usually go around 1200).

To be honest, I have noticed that foreign carriers are MUCH better. Jet Airways (India) served lunch for a one hour flight. Quantas (LAX to Sydney) gives you a "snack bag" and you can get up and refill on water from their water spouts. Virgin Atlantic had good service too.

Too bad I am stuck with NWA (and I am a GOLD member with them, that is how much I fly with them!)

I had an episode on that front with Continental, too. On my way to Amsterdam. I wanted a Gin and Tonic and they wanted to charge $5.00. I said that just the tonic will do and then I bought me a large bottle of Gin from their duty free - $15.00 for the litre or thereabout.

Keep the tonic and ice coming - a slice of lime if that's included with the ticket as well, I said! Worked awesomely... :P

Edited to add: I take a flask these days when flying far.

the trying to charge for *pillows* last time, ...

Are you serious? A charge for pillows? ** them!

Sigh...is there any airline here in the US that isn't crappy? Delta isn't too bad I suppose...except for that 25 hour delay they caused me last year....Continental ripped my backpack straps, Joel emailed them but no response (so what if my backpack wasn't expensive, it's still MY backpack!)...AirTran just sucks, PERIOD!!!

I dont like NWA anyways. They suck bad.

There planes are so old they seem like there going to fall apart when your thousands of miles up in the air. Not good. I flew with them once, and I said never again. I had the worst headaches from the fumes, and so did my husband.

I do like the aisle seat thou. I hate bothering people to move when I have to go to the bathroom. My nerves when I am flying makes me piddle all the time.

Airlines dont pay for ripped straps, broken handles, wheels, or scratches.

read the contract of carriage located in your ticket jacket. you should be able to find a copy on line as well. luggage is designed to protect the contents.
