Hi everyone,

I did my medical back in 2013, the woman that gave me the vaccs told me one of them is out of stock.

I will be needing another medical sometime this year (hopefully ), how can i know which vaccs i need so i can get them done at my local clinic because it's cheaper

thanks

Do you also have MMR?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but DTAP is a vaccination given as a child. How long ago did you receive that? I believe you may need a booster (which is called TDAP). I had DTAP as a child, but had to get a TDAP booster.

You'll also need the flu shot (if medical is in Feb).

If you've have chicken pox, no need for varicella, just need to verbally declare you've had chicken pox.

one receipt says D Tap booster due=10 years

another receipt titled vaccination documentation worksheet says next to the MMR column national shortage.

Also says Applicant may be eligible for blanket waiver(s) because vaccination(s) not medically appropriate (as indicated Above)

Okay sounds like you need an updated tdap based on the first line. Sounds like it's been over 10 years since it was done.

The second line seems to indicate that there's a shortage of MMR.

The blanket waiver is for all the other vaccinations that aren't applicable due to your age.

For an adult-

MMR (two are required) If you only have record of one, then get another. If you have none, the second one is waived if at your medical, four weeks haven't passed since your first MMR.

Td or Tdap or DT or DTP or DtaP (One date must be no longer than 10 years ago)

Varicella OR a check by "Varicella History" if you had chickenpox.( History gets you a waiver) In the UK, varicella vaccine is not readily available and that will get CR1s a waiver.

Influenza (during flu season October 1 to March 31.

oh wait i think i know what she did, i thin she wrote D Tap instead of Tdap

because on the vaccs doc worksheet next to DTap there is a tick nest to not age appropriate,

and there is a tick next to Tdap.

So does that mean i just need the MMR?

Okay sounds like you need an updated tdap based on the first line. Sounds like it's been over 10 years since it was done.

The second line seems to indicate that there's a shortage of MMR.

The blanket waiver is for all the other vaccinations that aren't applicable due to your age.

His Tdap is good. Knightsbridge clinic in London writes a reminder that tetanus needs updating in 10 more years.

If MMR is still in shortage, he can get a waiver. It's probably not a shortage now.

The blanket waiver is for other reasons as well:

*Not Medically appropriate or contraindicated. Example-a pregnant woman can't get MMR. Gets a blanket waiver.

*Insufficient time interval

*Not flu season

*Not readily available such as varicella in the UK.

You have never answered the question: What documentation do you have of MMR Immunization? Do you have previous records from your doctor's office? Do you have the childhood immunization booklet? Do you have proof of any MMR shots ever in your life with dates they were given?

So you have had no MMR in your life. You may get it anywhere you want. Your GP, Boots, or pay on the day at Knightsbridge. You will be doing your entire medical over because the first one has expired.

Show up at the new medical exam with:

1) your new proof of MMR from wherever get get it,

2) the old visa medical vaccination sheet which shows a date you had Tdap,

3) your proof of a flu shot if you go before April 1.

4) a new police certificate because your old one will be expired.

Please NOTE!! You could go get a MMR shot right now. But it is a two dose thing. There has to be 4 weeks minimum between doses for health reasons. If four weeks have passed since your first MMR, then on the day of the medical, they will say it is perfectly fine for you to get the second dose and will require it.

HOWEVER if you get your first dose shortly before the medical exam, they can't require the second dose if four weeks have not passed. They give you a waiver for "insufficient time interval". You never have to get the second dose if you time it right.

Be sure and tell them you have had chickenpox so they mark Varicella History on the form. The form has changed since you went before. You will get signed off on the new form.

Quite frankly, if you have waited two years since your first interview, the cost of a shot at Knightsbridge should be the least of your concerns. Just pay for anything they say and get on with the visa.
