Dear all,

My Husbands case was transferred to Algeria since August of 2015. It was at first in Yemen but due to the war we transferred it to Algeria. I keep calling the NVC and they tell me the same thing. That his case is Complete. I asked when was the Case Complete the representative told me since May 18, 2015. Does it really take that long? Seriously, I miss my husband and we have been through a lot. We lost two babies in one year. A girl then a boy and both born sleeping. Now I am 20 weeks pregnant and need my husbands emotional support. I dont know what to do. I am calling the NVC about twice a week. I have sent out many emails yet no response. Should I call the US Embassy in Algeria? Do anyone know their number? I am running out of patience. Oh, and my Husvand has traveled to Algeria about a month and a half ago. Due to the circumstances, I rather him be in Algeria for his safety. And there is no point of him being in Yemen, since work is out of the question. HELPPPPPP!!!

Oh and I did file for him on Dec. 2013

Contact NVC and keep inquiring. Your PD has been current for some time. Also I would email the embassy.

Here's all the info about your Consulate.

What does NVC say though about your case? I mean where is it? Have you checked your status on ceac.state.gov.?

Have you gone to the Embassy website? Is your husband actually From Yemen If so you need to use this email.

If you are normally resident in Yemen and have a pending petition, but the case is not yet scheduled at the U.S. Embassy in Algiers, please write to IVYemen@state.gov.

No, his case is now in Algeria and has been since August 2015. I recieved emails from my lawyer stating that with his new case number as well.

Yes, he is from Yemen but has travelled to Algeria waiting for an interview to be scheduled. Since his priority date is current we thought it was going to be sooner so he just left.

I have emailed IVYemen few times, and all they tell me is that they have so many cases that we have to wait. They also told me that they have reached the US Embassy in Algeirs and requested to expedite my husbands case. They denied and said they are reviewing many cases that we have to wait our turn.

But we know for sure that his case has been in Algeria since August of 2015. And his case was Complete on May 18, 2015. But just dont get why its taking so long.

Yes, its very hard. Imagine I had to go through two stillbirths in Yemen and now I am about 5 Mons pregnant. I am getting so PARANOID. Wallah all I do is make Dua. And its harder not having him with me. I just dont get why they are taking this long to give him an appointment.

My husband is telling me to keep calling them and he also told me try calling the US Embassy in Algeria. I dont know if that is gonna work either. Everything I do seems pointless to them. But everything went wrong in Yemen. Because his case has been complete since Dec 2014, and the war just messed everything up.I dont know what else to do. Good Luck.

InshaAllah kheir wal Tawfek for every Yemeni struggling out there.

Allah yesa7l lkum very soon in Shaa Allah! There is no way you can call the Embassy in Algeria I've tried so many times and everyone tells me they don't have a contact number, you can only email them! Sorry for what you're going through. May Allah make it easy for you. Here's a number for algiers consulate 1 (703) 520-2240. Just follow the instructions until you can speak to someone directly about your case.

Its getting really annoying and I am running out of patients. I already went to speak to our congresswoman about my husbands case. And her aids told me he will call them himself. Still nothing. I emailed ivyemen they said they contacted the US Embassy in Algergia, but still cannot expedite the interview. I am really considering to just transfer his case to Djoubouti. I am so done and lost hope with Algeria. His case has been there for 8 months and 1 year since it has been complete.
