Hello! I applied for a K1 visa, I'm finished with my interview but they asked me to submit additional documents which is the Other Country Police

certificate. I submitted it last March 6 and they told me to just wait because my case is for review... It's a week already and I haven't heard anything form the embassy. I called their call center already but their database information is 1 month late... Is there any possibility that my visa will be denied? Is there anyone who has the same case with mine? Please help me, I'm losing hope already, I just wish that I'm not waiting for nothing... :help:

Hi Princess, Just calm down a little, everything will be ok.

A part of the instructions in the packet 4 instructed you to get a police clearance from any countries that you might have worked in. I assume that you worked in another country and did not get the police clearance, therefore they requested the polic clearance from that country. Once it goes into AR you must wait until they get it checked out. If you have a clear police record in the foreign country you worked in then it will be ok, but it will take some time for them to get it cleared up.

The Manila Embassy does 50,000 visas per year. They are one of the busiest embassies in the world, therefore it takes them time to get to these things.

Just remind yourself that it was your fault because you did not provide the info according to the instructions in the packet 4. If everything checks out ok I'm sure you will get your visa. Don't give up, just hang in there. If a month or more passes your fiance might try calling his congressman or senator to get some help here.

You also might want to try the Foriegn Embassy, the the Manila Embassy thread in this site. There are lots of people there that are very knowledgeable about these things and would be glad to help you.

You are almost finished with the race, don't give up or panic now.

I understand the feeling u having now, all i can say is be optimistic, dont let negative vibes affects you. You are almost there, and all you have to do is to wait. I worked and lived in taiwan before and right now im working to get police cert. from there. I just got notice from the NVC that our case was forwarded here in Manila. As far as I know, getting an AR means u have to wait for weeks or a month to review your case. And if u have no criminal records on that country u been dont be afraid just keep on praying ok?! Things will work out fine coz there's no reason to denied ur visa.

Hi Lizzy,

I dont have any criminal records, it's just that one of the requirements of the k1 is the police certificate from other countries that I have been since the age of 16. I passed it already and I think that my case is under adminstrative review... Until now I'm stilll waiting.. Thanks for the reply anyway. God bless!
