I think you can apply for Tricare on your own after divorce. You will still be a former wife of the military guy and it is allowed to do it. Except you will pay for it on your own, but it will be affordable. Call Tricare to find it out.. I am on Tricare, happily married, but I heard it from someone who is divorced.

However, depending on the state you may be able to get medicare for the birth. This is VERY state dependent. Some give it for the pregnant mother, some do it for the unborn child, and some don't do it at all. You will have to search to find out. The way it works is the child is an unborn US citizen. So it's quite possible. You can also contact planned parenthood and discuss your options with them as they probably have resources and knowledge we do not have on this message board.
