1 week left, then moving to the US

hi to all!

its crunch time.

think i have sorted most things out.

but now i'm getting worried about my flight there and then the immigration officers.

please can some tell me what to do and expect as soon as get i on that plane.

this has probably been posted so many times and is on the guides.

its just in case i have forgotten something.

No danger. You get on the plane it takes off and jut before you land they hand you customs and immigration foms. Fill out the I-94 white immigration form as you wil be entering on a visa. The form is self explanitory but just make sure you fill it out correctly as they can be overly officiious sometimes.

You land. You get off the plane. You get in line (queues do not exist here). Hopefully you will have your passport and the big brown envelope, that came with your visa, with you.

\My experience was: He opened the envelope and briefly looked through it, found what he needed and stamped it. Scanned my fingerprints etc. Then he went to find someone else who took me to another window and told me to go an sit down - in no mans land. I waited 20 minutes when he called back to the window and gave me my passport back complete with employment authorization stamp (JFK). I was in. The whole think took me about 40 mins.

Don't be nervous, it'll be fine.

I always had the worse time with immigration officers when I visited, I was once threatend to be put in jail/banned from the US all that #######..

Well with the visa, none of that just not real friend either! They just made me wait while they processed the info from the envelope and asked 3 basic questions and off I went!

I came through Cincinnati, no problems. Just got in line, handed over the envelope, the I-94 and my passport. He stamped my I-94 and passport, asked if I was getting married or am married (K-1 or K-3, I guess), asked my son if he was looking forward to going to school here, took my fingerprints and retinal scan and waved us on through. He only started opening the envelope as we left. Whole thing took no more than 5 minutes tops.

There is nothing to worry about!
