It is USCIS policy Not to deny AOS for immediate relatives of USCs based on intent alone. So even if the IO thought there was intent, they still would not deny AOS.

To every one who replied. THANK YOU. I feel much better about our prospects now. My wife's parents, like many of your family members, just want to stay and be a part of our growing family. They also are a tremendous mental help for my wife and I. I'm thankful that there are people here that can answer such tough questions and point me in the right direction. My family is grateful to all of you.

Most visitor vsas are 10 year multi entry, yes the CO will take an initial view but all a Visa is is permission to apply during its currency.

Overstays by immediate relatives are forgiven so what ban?

They could appeal, file again whatever. If there is something out there of that ilk how did they get here as visitors? They have much bigger problems.

You're still wrong. Why would the AOS be denied?

Adjusting from visitor visas is not a problem. So, are you aware of any real reason for AOS to be denied? Or do you like to scare people for no reason?

For those concerned about intent: Even if there was intent to immigrate, it has already been ruled that the immediate relationship to a U.S. citizen is so overwhelmingly a positive factor that prior intent does not outweigh the immediate family relationship if it is the only negative factor.
