Guys, a quick update on this very old thread, is the beneficiary's passport copy or birth certificate needed at all? The information I have been finding has been conflicting. If it is in fact a good idea to throw that in, where is the best place to put it? next to the Petitioner's Proof of Citizenship or next to the beneficiary's G-325A?

Go by what USCIS asks, read the I-130 instructions.

Do not send beneficiary's birth certificate or passport data page to USCIS.

The USCIS is about the petitioner, i.e the USC. You put the beneficiary's passport AND birth cert at the NVC stage. You only give the beneficiary's passport to USCIS if you're using it as bona fida evidence, e.g to prove trips to see USC.

Obviously anything submitted will be copies.
