Can my husband visit me during this process?

My husband is Canadian, I am a US Citizen. We are on the final leg of this process, in that we are waiting for our interview date. We are having a family reunion here in Arizona and I would love to have my husband here since so much of my family he has not met. Who do I contact to make sure he can come here for 6 days and return to Canada? I asked the NVC and they said that's a Homeland Security thing. How and where do you contact homeland security?

Any input will be appreciated.

You don't contact anyone. He travels as he always does. Maybe bring some things that shows strong ties to Canada in case the border people think he won't return for some reason. But there is nothing in this process that says he can't come visit.

There's no way to guarantee that he gets to visit in the US. Anyone at anytime can be denied access. It is up to the border patrol at his point of entry and whether or not they believe he will return to Canada before his time is up to visit. It also might be a bit more difficult for him because they can look and see that he has an immigrant petition processing, showing that he has immigrant intent.

Lots of people get to visit throughout this process but it depends on many factors. Some get turned away at the border and no one can guarantee that.
