i think sonic is gross, but my kid likes it all right. but then if he had his way, he'd eat mcdonalds every day. kid has no standards i tell ya.

the closest fuddruckers is almost an hour away, and i'd have to take the toll road. i'll probably never go.

oh we have two applebees, the food is terrible imo.

Yeah, I agree that Applebees is nothing special. I don't think they're terrible, but they're certainly not my first choice to eat. That's why I said the 99 is "better" than Applebees. I love burgers, I would eat them daily if I could. I'm always on the look out for good burger places.

A small combo for 11.50. That's nuts. I can eat in a sit down restaurant here for way less. Local hibachi grill. 9 bucks . Includes hibachi make your own stir fry, sushi, crab and over 200 items

to be fair, the cost of everything is cheaper the further south you go..

No doubt! I make killer burgers on the grill and the beef has to be 80/20, anything else cooks up like rubber and doesn't have the flavor.

I went to a local restaurant last summer that advertises their own special blend of beef that makes the "best" burger around. Of course I had to check it out. They charge $18 dollars for the 1/3 pound burger with fries supposedly because they use nothing but the best cuts of beef in the burger. The problem is everything they use is extra lean and the burger was dry and had no flavor. I took two bites and sent it back. If it was only a $7 burger, I probably would've have eaten it anyway and left, but I wasn't paying $18 for a burger that was that bad. I found out about a month later that the restaurant changed it's beef mixture and lowered their price a bit. Wonder why?

Seriously, I read some years ago (and didn't save the reference -- :bonk:) that the emissions from both ends of one Norwegian moose contribute more harmful gases to the atmosphere than does a car [of forgotten specific size] traveling the [breadth? length?] of Norway.

Boy, would THAT set the environmentalists against the animal-rights people!

I've heard about a 'different' PETA that might be receptive to protecting the planet from these Windy Norse Moose: People Eating Tasty Aminals...

Methane (CH4) is the second most prevalent greenhouse gas emitted in the United States from human activities. In 2013, CH4 accounted for about 10% of all U.S. greenhouse gas emissions from human activities.

Yes, methane (mee-thane for the Brits) is a concern. But, what about the Chipmunks?? Will Obama's capitulation and acquiescence to the Paris Treaty compel us to fit the back end of Chipmunks with catalytic converters? No wonder the critters are becoming more challenging to spot...

  • Agriculture. Domestic livestock such as cattle, buffalo, sheep, goats, and camels produce large amounts of CH4 as part of their normal digestive process. Also, when animals' manure is stored or managed in lagoons or holding tanks, CH4 is produced. Because humans raise these animals for food, the emissions are considered human-related. Globally, the Agriculture sector is the primary source of CH4 emissions. For more information, see the Inventory of U.S. Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Sinks Agriculture chapter.

so wildlife gets a free pass.

we need more hunters to reduce wildlife and methane emissions!

Then we must immediately kill and eat all methane-producing animals, preferably in association with barbecue sauce.

Only in Scientific American (or perhaps American Scientist), unless there's barbecue sauce.

Or did you mean to type "scientific seasoning"?
