Hello, everyone! I've been searching for awhile but can't find an answer to my question.

I came to the US last December and got my SSN on December 28th. I am currently unemployed and don't have health insurance yet.

Can my husband claim me on his tax return this year? If so, do I need to have gealth insurance?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You don't "claim" a spouse. The addition/deletion of a spouse can affect your filing status. Get health insurance to avoid paying possible penalties.
