My birth certificate from Switzerland, in Italian language, was reject and got a RFE. My cousin did the translate while he was visiting me and it was accurate but i didn't notarize the paper. Should i do it? Any other documents that need to be notarized before send to them?

Thank you

Translations can be done by anyone fluent in both languages, but the translated document must contain this certification by the person that did the translation. > http://www.visajourney.com/content/translations

What exactly is the RFE asking you for? What do they say is wrong with the translation?

Submit a copy of the applicant's foreign birth certificate issued by the appropriate civil authority. If the document is in a language other than english, you must submit a copy of the foreign language document and an english translation.

Here below i attach the copy translate that i sent with the original, before receive the RFE.

Note: i covered the personal info.

What you sent them wasn't a birth certificate, but rather, a copy of the livret de famille.

Birth certificates already come written in French, German, Italian and English so there is no translation necessary.
