Questions regarding Co sponsorship of foreign Fiance.

I'm currently in college, and my fiance who I've been with for 6 years and I are planning to have her move to California from the Netherlands. Since I am in college I'm not meeting the financial end of the contract so my mother and my grandmother are willing to sponsor my fiance financially. My question is they both do meet the requirements very easily. But my mom is debating having a baby with her boyfriend. If my mother is on the co sponsorship and goes on leave and say dropped below the financial requirement because she wants to raise her baby. If i report this to the government will my Fiance still be ok? Because my grandmother easily hits the financial eligibility as well.

If i didn't explain this to well let me know. It is an odd situation that i am weary of. I don't want my fiance being sent back after we finally get to be together for good after 6 years of back and fourth travel. Thanks in advance. I'll elaborate more if needed.

It's a K-1 visa we will be filing for btw.

If you're worried about your mom's ability to sponsor just use the grandmother as the co-sponsor to avoid any confusion or delays. Your fiancee will only come to the US once she has the visa. With K1 you only submit the financial evidence when it's time to interview, so if at the time of the interview your mom will not be working, you can replace grandmother as the co-sponsor, that's not a problem.

So your fiancee can't be sent back anywhere because once she comes in with the K1, she becomes your wife and then you file adjustment of status, at that point again, unless you are working, someone will need to be a co-sponsor.

Even if you do not have any income at all because you are a student, you still need to fill out the necessary forms and submit a letter explaining why you are not filing taxes (if you are not)

You can only have one cosponsor.

Can only have one and they need to meet the requirements.

But my mom is debating having a baby with her boyfriend. If my mother is on the co sponsorship and goes on leave and say dropped below the financial requirement because she wants to raise her baby. If i report this to the government will my Fiance still be ok?

No, if her current household size plus the baby plus your fiance and the minimum income requirement for that size is not met, then she is not an eligible cosponsor.

Because my grandmother easily hits the financial eligibility as well.

Then go with Grandma.

Not exactly correct. Both you and GrandMa will fill out the 134 support forms, Your income will be listed as 0. It's kind of verification that you need a cosponsor. So two 134 forms will be brought to the interview. There is no need to explain why you don't pay taxes, just statements as to your income.

I appreciate you 2 clearing that up thank you.

One more thing.

Would it matter if my grandmother doesn't live in the same residence as myself or where my fiance will live?
