Ramifications of a passport being stapled with a Global entry receipt

Hi all,

I just had a strange experience using Global Entry going through the US border. I was going through using the VWP and I have a K1 application in progress but haven't had my interview at the London embassy yet.

Anyway, I used Global entry and all went through fine and I got the receipt printed off as per usual. However, the CBP agent that I showed the Global Entry receipt to decided to staple the receipt to a page in my passport. I've never had that happen before and usually I just have the receipt unattached to my passport. It is just on a normal page, rather than the photo page or observation page.

Anyway, the question I have is: for the K1 visa interview, will the US embassy in London care that there is a global entry entrance receipt stapled to a page of my passport? Will it matter at POE?

That's what I had hoped! But I wanted to see if anybody had any opinions about whether it'd be considered tampering. I have no proof that the CBP agent stapled it haha aside from my memory.

I don't see why you wouldn't just unstaple it once it's no longer needed. CBP used to staple I94s in my passport all the time before they went electronic (thank God for that) which I'd then have to carefully unstaple before flying back home (since you had to surrender them on your way out and I didn't want the people at the gate to accidentally rip out a page from my passport with the I94).

The reason why I was averse to that is because I'm unclear if it is akin to tampering, just as if I had used chemicals to remove stamps. However, this is an option that I am considering but will likely keep it in for now.
