I called the embassy number this evening that is in Sheriff Ullings signature and got ahold of a very friendly and helpful lady who told me that my petition was received there on Feb. 28. It is odd that my letter from the NVC is dated March 1st and says that my petition would be sent to Manila in the next week or so, but that doesn't matter as long as it's there. I was told that no interview date was set yet, but it could be as early as May. She told me the average wait was 100 to 120 days. I am so jazzed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We were approved last Feb 27 and until now, still no news from NVC (though they say they got our case). I'm giving it Monday for my fiancee to receive a letter from them, otherwise, it's time to make him call and write instead of me doing it for us... Oh I just can't wait till it's forwarded here in Manila...

thanks everyone. After all that waiting for the NOA2, stressing that it was sent the day after Thanksgiving, the Holiday slow-down, it is exciting to see this thing get some traction. I called my fiancee she was excited too! Does anyone know when the May interviews will be announced? I would love to be on that list.

Mae, If you look at the timelines in the Manila Embassy Interview Thread, 2 weeks is not nearly enough time to get notification from the NVC after the NOA 2. 3 weeks was the early average and 4 weeks was the norm. Once you get the "Letter of conformation" form the Embassy, you will see that any dates the NVC gives you over the phone are most likely inaccurrate anyway. Be patient. Ken & Maria
