@Yasir, Saa Isha and other VJ members, would you be kind to share what led to economic solvency? Was the petitioner's income not above 125% of poverty guideline or was it something else? Any advice on 'to do's and donts' is appreciated.

Don't be depressed. Most likely they need to do background check on you. That's why AP is checked. They also need to calculate if your sponsor makes enough money and that's why evidence of economic solvency is checked. The CO should have explained you a little. Positive thing is that they kept your passport. Ask your petitioner to call NVC or email embassy and explain what you all need to go through the process.

What type of back ground checking

My fiancée had his interview at the embassy in Islamabad 3 weeks back and the CO said congrats and that we would be receiving an email with a questionnaire that same day of the interview. But we didn’t get it then and we just got an email saying refusal under 221g pending the following questionnaire. We submitted that just now. The status is still in AP and date changed to today.
Should we be worried or is this kinda normal?

Just curious - how does one know they are in AP?   Where can we check our current case status?

Is there any way one can ask about the status while in AP?

My father had his interview on October 31, 2019 and was giving the white sheet and told he would get a questionnaire. We finally got it on the 11th and was submitted on the 12th. Our status still shows AP as well. Inshallah all will be ok. I spoke to my attorney and the DS-Form 5535 is very common now for males from countries like Pakistan. If no documentation was needed then all should be ok. Keep me in the loop with your updates and ill do the same.

Our case updated on Nov. 19th, but still in AP. It technically has only been 5 working days since submission of the questionnaire. Still praying for a quick response. Seems like they always update on Tuesdays.
