Hi J178

I just sent mine off today from London, UK - as confirmed by the embassy here, I was ok to order an international banker's draft from my UK bank and I'm sure you can do the same where you are. It pays in the USD amount you specify, and will be from a US branch of the bank so all legitimate. There will probably be a charge (£25 for me) but definitely worth it!

Good luck

Ben

No, everything is sent to Texas. And a mere MO may not be sufficient, the funds have to be drawn from a US bank. Get a cashier's check from the local US bank.

That's because they are not involved at this stage. it is USCIS not the Embassy, two different entities.

Phil (Lockport, near Chicago) and Alla (Lobnya, near Moscow)

As of Dec 7, 2009, now Zero miles apart (literally)!

Thank you for your help! Have you sent your packet? I have mailed my packet from here singapore last 11/2 and i have checked the status of my package saying it is held by customs since 14/2. Im so worried why they held it for too long. Did this happen to you?
