 Agreed.

It seems many people get RFEs for the AOS papers - usually dealing with the affidavit of support information. BUT you wont know until you actually receive the RFE in the mail.

I looked up 1099 (curious myself) and found it is a form used to report wages paid to freelance people, independent contrators and the like. Did you wife do any sort of contract work (meaning she wasn't a regular employee... she just worked for some place for a specific time or a specific job?)

Here are some links about 1099:

http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-a-1099-form.htm

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IRS_Form_990

http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/i1099.pdf

Hopefully someone will come along who has experience with these forms. If she works as a regular employee at a pharmacy, I'm not sure why they are asking for this, unless perhaps she did freelance side work and it was reported by the employer...

Best of luck with your RFE...

Maya

Many thanks to the Visajourney community for all the help!

If I'm not wrong, 1099 is from the bank stating how much interest you earned from the whole year ( anyone else knows about 1099 ??? )

My husband didn't include 1099 for my affidavit, he submitted Tax return 2006 , W2, 6 months pay stub and employment letter.

Good luck!
