Hello, how can I get back my husbands birth certificate from his point of entry at JFK? He did not have a copy of it, we did not know this, so they kept his original birth certificate! Does anyone know how we could possibly request this back?

From what I was told there is no way of getting it back , best thing to do is to get a new birth certificate

You should check out this link, though I don't know how well, or if it works: https://www.uscis.gov/g-884 . This may happen again, suggest that you arrange to get several more copies of such important documents.
