Hey guys,

Quick question...for the proof of ongoing relationship in our I-129f we included

1) photos together

2) my I-94 travel form to show I've been to the US to visit numerous times

3) statement of intent to marry

Will this be enough? I always thought that the chat logs etc were to be taken to the interview?

We provided more, Skype logs, chat logs and letters from family and friends. Also if possible include photos with your relatives. My husband and I went to Spain while we were engaged to visit some of my relatives, we included pictures with them. My parents met him and we got pictures as a group. I also put pictures with me and his mom. However we didn't submit those with the I-129 F, but we brought them to the interview.

I would think it would be enough. We had sent my bus passes and his hotel receipt too. (As a Canadian, I had no I-94 until I activated my K-1)

Statement of intent to marry isn't a proof I think, it was requested with the I-129F petition.

We brought a LOT to the interview; Chat log, Pictures of us plus, pictures of us with family. I included many random things such as the cards he'd send for valentine's day, our anniversaries and my birthday. I had tickets to event we attended together, I think we might have been a little over board, but better safe then sorry!

My fiancé and I mainly use iMessage to communicate as we both have iPhones, how would we go about using them as proof at the interview? Cause with Skype you can just print the logs online, is there anyway to do this with iMessage?

The I-129F instructions do not actually say you need to send proof of ongoing relationship. Read them to see what USCIS requires https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-129finstr.pdf

And at your interview in London, they will NOT want to see iMessages, Skype, love letters, engagement rings, or photo albums. Nothing. I promise. They never do. Very easy.

Yep. This question keeps being asked but I don't see where people are getting the impression that all this extra information is necessary. Perhaps they might help a small percentage of cases but in the majority of cases and locations, especially London, it isn't needed. Better to focus simply on the instructions and bring nothing more, nothing less.

This is an embassy specific question. Follow the advice from the other British VJers :)

Well the thread is kind of two part---what is required with the petition and what is required in London. I will add that in the original post, he listed

3) statement of intent to marry

That statement has to be two statements, one from each person. And the statement has to also say FREE TO MARRY, as well as intend to marry

Bottom line AdamJones is you need to do a little more research in order to put together a good package.

Simply for your I-129F, you only need to show proof that you two have met within the last 2 years. Your on-going relationship proofs are presented at the interview.

As three people who are familiar with London interviews have said, no proof of relationship is presented in London.

we put 33 photos of us and with our families and friends, conversations on whatsapp (from march to december cause we both changed phones and we couldn't retrieve the previous conversations), call logs from viber (2 pages), 3 letters we sent to each other with the envelopes showing the stamps, i-94 form, boarding passes, itineraries, 2 movie tickets (of movies we saw in january since we didn't save the others) and one from a show we saw together last summer, then we sent 3 pages of facebook chats, 3 pages of facebook showing that we post on each other walls and showing the likes and comments of friends, 4 pictures on copy paper from our engagement day (then i wrote over each picture with a pen who was present in the picture), passports stamps... I don't know if it's enough since we haven't been approved yet, but better be safe than sorry.

i don't know how iMessage works, but I think it's fine if you took screenshoots of the convs with your phone then print them... that's what we did!

Sure, for now and for your country. Evidence of your discussions of you relationship are for the interview.
