Ofc I'm stressing out already, even before I've gotten my NOA2. I'm just curious, the X-ray you need to take in Norway, do you really have to do that at a private place? (curato, unilabs etc.) Or can you go to a hospital? The price difference is huge for the exam. Even tho it's a small price all in all, i still would love to get all done as cheap as possible  Besides, i work at a hospital, so it would be really easy just getting it done here, and not have to travle a couple of hours to get it done too....... Anyone that know?

The medical has to be done by a US panel approved physician.

Yes, that i know, but the physician here want you to take a X-ray before the consultation, and i think they recomend to do it at a private institution. We have the option where we can use the public health care system and the price difference is 1/10th , i was just wondering if that wasn't good enough. Pictures are pictures in my mind.. lol

You'd have to contact the panel physician to find out.

There is special instructions for Norway on the Stockholm pdf since that is where you interview.

It does however look like you MUST use their xray tech.

I was afraid of that.. It's probably because the doctor that that is US-approved is a private doctor and not with our public free health care. They do not provide X-rays at his office tho, and that's why i was in doubt :/

This cost is never covered by public health. Even if the doctor normally was a public health care doctor you would have to pay for thr medical and xray. My cost was $300 cash.

It's ridiculous, but you have to travel to Oslo. They have a unilabs in Bergen as well, but that is not approved(I called and checked)

I know - I'm neurotic about planning ahead so i sent them an email and they told me the same thing. It's also in my nature arguing about the quality being just as good at the public hospitals and how you could choose doing it there just a few years back, so i could just get one of the doctors writing the same x ray request for me. But guess this is too important, so i better just keep my mouth shut! Lol!! Hopefully they'll schedule it the same day for everyone so we don't have to travel too much ^^, i just got my NOA2 last week, so I'm crossing my fingers NVC will go smoothly!
