Does the form of the I-134 need to be submitted with the K-1 Visa application, or is this something we send after the K-1 Visa application has been approved?

It is sent for the interview at the embassy abroad, the last step before a K1 is approved or denied.

U file the I-134 for interview only, USCIS just wants to know if you met in the last 2 years and prove of bone fide relationship

The I-129F is not an application for a visa. It is a petition. Once that petition is approved, it will allow the foreign fiance(e) to apply for a K-1 visa at the consulate abroad. The I-134 is needed for the K-1 visa interview.

You DO NOT need Form I-134 as part of the petition (I-129F). I just went through the process. The only time you need to provide this form is at the interview. That is, IF that particular embassy requests the form, I don't think it is always he case.

Don't worry about that until you are ready for the interview

You do not need to provide evidence of financial support to get a medical. That is needed to get the K-1 visa. It is brought to the interview.
