Profanity in personal letters and messages

I feel really silly asking this, but I've searched around and can't find an answer (which means it's probably a non-issue).

I'm finishing up my petition for the K-1 visa and I've included one handwritten letter from each of us and some facebook messages. I know that it's okay to block out personal info, but what about curse words? The two of us are a bit potty-mouthed. Should I go ahead and block out all those instances too? Do they even read the letters in that much detail?

Thanks!

Letters are not actually required, nor Facebook messages.

I feel really silly asking this,

Should be.

I've included one handwritten letter from each of us and some facebook messages.

Not really needed considering your Embassy.

I know that it's okay to block out personal info,

It's not recommended.

but what about curse words? The two of us are a bit potty-mouthed.

Should I go ahead and block out all those instances too?

Not really, it looks like your trying to hide something. Everything has to be transparent and in the open to allow the Embassy CO determine you have a legitimate relationship.

Probably should act more adult-like moving forward since you must bare everything in order to allow them to approve the visa.

Do they even read the letters in that much detail?

Oh, yes....they even will check out your Facebook pages!

It is best to use facebook messages that don't contain any profanity and attest to your bona fide relationship. You should not block out information. Yes, they are trained to catch minor details like this. Contrary to what a member said before, you can use messages on social media as proof of bona fide relationship.

Just to clear up any confusion. The "on-going relationship" part isn't a requirement of the I-129f. It IS a requirement at the interview stage. Even then, the amount required is really based on the embassy and its discretion. Many people front load the petition with this evidence for a smoother interview. This generally is advantageous in countries with high fraud cases. Nobody is saying you can't send this information. It just isn't required at the petition stage. It doesn't prove you have met in person within 2 years.
