Hi guys,

So my fiance had his interview at the Islambad embassy yesterday. He had all the paperwork required and the relationship proofs. The interviewer conducted the interview through a translator. He asked for engagement photos but we did not have a official engagment. However my fiance had pictures of us together, call logs, birthday card sent from me, emails, dvd with videos made for his birthday. The only thing the interviewer looked at was the pictures and birthday card that i wrote to my fiance. He then said that was enough and no more proof was needed. My fiance got a white 221g form with a mark on administrative processing. No other documents were asked for. His passport was taken and the interviewer told him that he would get his passport through american express within 2 to 3 weeks. My fiance was not told if he was approved or not. Should we be worried? Does anyone have experience with k1 ap? Plz do respond with any info yoi guys might have.

@lovepaki- they asked him the following:

1. Where does your fiance live in the US?

2. How long do you know each other

3. Are you both related?

4. Is it a love match or something the parents decided?

5. Did you guys have an engagement party?

Hello,

My fiancé had his interview 8 weeks ago in Islamabad. He was told that he was approved, but ended up going into AP. In your case, there shouldn't be anything to worry about, AP seems to be the "normal" route for visa seekser from Pakistan. However, it might take longer than 2-3 weeks. Good luck!

@mohammed2jz

Yeah they didn't even ask my fiance for any documents. Just handed him a 221g and said to lookout for the passport through american express. Good luck though!

@Lkhan123

Thanks. We contacted them about a month later and got a standard "Your case is in Administrative Processing..." reply. There's really nothing to do to speed up the process. In the meantime, thank goodness for skype and whatsapp :)

@Uzmak5

Yes hahahah thank goodness for technology! I wonder if all the cases in AP right now at islamabad embassy will go above the 60 day mark which is two months. Why do they do that? It says that the standard wait time is 30 to 60 days. Ughhhh so frustrating!!!!!!
