Do I Need a Sponsor to be Safe? Please Help!

I wanted your two cents. I am reading that they treat the I-134 with similar guidelines to the I-864 I am filing a K1 visa going through the embassy in Paris.

My returns are as follows:

I have been in college the past 5 years. I was filed as a dependent to my parents the last 2 years, making below the poverty level as a student.

I graduated and in May 2015 began employment making $75,000 annually, as a full time employee. I can provide proof of employment, paystubs and letter of employment and such.

My 2015 tax returns and w2 will show roughly $50,000 in income, which I currently have in hand.

Under these circumstances do I need a sponsor to be safe due to the prior 2 years tax returns showing no/ low income due to being a student?

No, you're good. Current income is key. Most former students don't have past incomes....because they were not working, they were students.

My main concern was showing consistency of income which I didn't show for 2/3 (2013 and 2014) prior tax periods since I was a student.

I just don't want the CO to have any questions about the ability to pay since I have a more recent income (2015+).

They wouldn't have any issue with this in regards to showing 2 prior years of low income to show consistency? Current ability to pay wouldn't be a question with the 2015 tax return backing this up, it just seems like the past doesn't paint as nice of a picture income wise.

Stop.....you were a student. Now you have a good job. You're good.

Baron is correct, you don't need to be concerned about past income, CIS is only concerned with CURRENT income and CURRENT income tax return/pay stubs etc.
