IR-5 Green card status unknow 5mo. after entering the US

I'm the petitioner for my dad, I filed for I-130 and completed all the following required forms such as DS-260,I-864EZ, he has gone through the interview and was granted immigrant visa serves as temp I-551 evidence permanent resident for 1 year, he was told he should receive his green card after 2-3 months but it's been 5 months and we still yet received anything regarding to his green card, I was told that I need a IOE number to check the status of his green card but this is not a request change of status case and I was never given a IOE number. I only have a receipt number for the form I-797 which that whole process has already been approved, can anyone please help enlighten the topic, thank you so much.

I wasn't aware that he needed to do anything at all, they told him to just wait for it, he already has SSN.

The social Security is a different department and USCIS is completely different. You will need to pay the $165 fees so that the green card can be produced and be mailed out to you. Get it done soon so that you have the physical green card in hand. and till then the i551 stamp will act as a 1 year temp Green card.

I never did receive any invoice or payment request that I need to pay this fee so I was at a lost, thank you.
