Hello. Hoping someone can maybe give me some help or ideas. I work in a school as a teacher aide. I am technically part time but my hours are always changing depending on when they need me or vacations. I get paid hourly. I make more than enough to meet the requirement for the K-1 but my income changes every year because my hours change. I have been there over nine year and my job is very stable. I am just looking for how to word the letter since it can't say I make a specific amount yearly, should they put my hourly amount? Also, does it HAVE to be someone in the business office or can I have the letter written by the principal? Thanks in advance if you have any advice.

My letter listed my hourly wage, my status (Full time, part time, etc), my date of employment, and my job title. It's really more for verification of employment and not so much for wages as your tax transcripts verify that info. My department manager completed the letter for me. I would think who ever has the authority to verify your employment would be sufficient, not necessarily the principal.

Good Luck.
