We Applied in April/May 2015 w/USCIS, first for CR1, then for K3 (Spouse). The CR1 was approved in August, the K3 in September.

The Ds-260 was submitted to NVC in October 2015, the AOS Submitted November (25th).

After the initial 42 days, the case was submitted to a supervisor. That was on January 5th, 2016.

It was submitted again to a supervisor (2nd time) on 02/05/2016 - with a note saying this is the 2nd time it was submitted.

...over our many calls to the NVC, we have heard so many different things...

~Almost ever time "we don't know what's going on with your case for sure, just wait"

~We have heard it was held up because it was going to Amman, which does electronic processing, so that takes longer to convert the files/mail to the electronic system.

~I have heard that that converting files = more time was just "speculation" on one of the rep's part.

~I have also heard, the files are already electronic, because I sent them in via email as an attachment (DS-260 online).

~I have heard (by a man who was sooo rude and didn't let me ask any questions!!) that they didn't receive our AOS - so I have to submit that... although there was mail received on 11/25/2015. (I later clarified with a different rep, that if that's what I sent on the 25th, then that's what's waiting to be reviewed.

~My latest talk with the NVC came up with a new one... they could see that the Approved CR1 Petition and Approved K3 spouse petitions were "merged" by additional "administrative processing, to ensure no papers submitted were lost, as a possible reason as to why it's taken longer than normal. (but CR1 is in effect - K3 is "dead")

~The same rep was the one that re-submitted the AOS to the Supervisor a 2nd time w/the note.

~As of this day, I have been waiting one week and one day for a supervisor call back...none yet. I was ensured I'm still going to get the supervisor call back - but "there's no time frame" .

~~~~~is any of this the same with anyone else?
has anyone ever had any of these things happen?
I have seen you post this question many times and I don't see anywhere in your writing or your timeline where your IV package was submitted. That's the Immigrants documents The Police Report, Birth certificate, marriage license.
The last email you got from NVC what did it say and how long ago was it?
(NVC) received documents on 25-NOV-15. that was the last thing we got from them!
So AOS and IV package was sent and received on NOv. 25.
When you call NVC and ask to talk to a Supervisor what happens?
Have you verified in your email you have no checklist?
Just seems you will have to just keep calling?
You are the petitioner correct? Are you a US citizen or Green Card holder (LPR)?
i have qustion !
so the cheacklist is the same document cover sheet ?
if yes , i have it yeah!
thanks!
When I mean checklist I mean (RFE) thats what NVC calls when their is a mistake, something missing they need something from you they send a checklist requesting it.
Just trying to figure out why the delay so maybe you got a checklist in email and you didn't know it. Well in 3 1/2 hrs be sure to call NVC and demand to speak to a supervisor and do not get off the phone until you have answers to why is there such a delay and where in the process is your casefile.
These are the 3 things you want answers about where is the review here.
  1. AOS Package
  2. IV Package
  3. DS-260 Application
My wife called again today - the first person she spoke to said that they are still waiting for a supervisor to review it (all the documents/packages were sent - my wife confirmed this).
...so she tried to call back to see if she could speak to a supervisor - the man said that "yes we received something on the 30th, but because it doesn't show us that it's your AOS, it was probably lost". He recommended her to send again, or wait for the supervisor review. He didn't answer her if sending it again would start the waiting in line process longer...just that she should wait, and that they don't have the AOS.
....She called later, and spoke to the a different rep about the case. The latest rep told her that the reason for it taking long was because they are behind in transferring documents to the "electronic system" (that the Jordan embassy uses - and others). She also told my wife that yes, they do have mail, no she can't see it...but no, it was not lost & that the rep who told her that, didn't look into our case a far as he should have. ...she apologized for him and the mis-information too.
....so that brings us back to the converting files to the electronic system reason for the case taking long... Is that normal to take that long?
