Dear friends,

Probably this is a silly a question, but it's really confusing me. WHY SHOULD WE FILL OUT 4 PAGES OF G-325A ALTHOUGH THERE ARE EXACTLY THE SAME INFORMATION IN ALL OF THEM??? I mean, filling out one of those 4 pages is enough I thought. Acording to this very helpful website, I knew that I have to fill out the 4 of them, but I need to know WHY Plzzzzz

Thanks in advance ladies and gentelmen,

Sarassine

Thanks A LOT Turboguy for your swift response, but in the example provided by the website, they used different answers to the question "this form is submitted in connection with an application for?" while I think the answer should always be "I-129F petition", what do you think?

Your SO will complete another set of the G-325a when he files for AOS. It's used for several types of petitions.

24 March 2009 I-751 received by USCIS

27 March 2009 Check Cashed

30 March 2009 NOA received

8 April 2009 Biometric notice arrived by mail

24 April 2009 Biometrics scheduled

26 April 2009 Touched

...once again waiting

1 September 2009 (just over 5 months) Approved and card production ordered.

Thanks EVERYBODY, I can see why I should fill out the 4 pages, but why my answer should be different in some of them as long as I'm applying ONLY for "I-129F petition" and NOT "Naturalization" ???

That is an ERROR in the Example Form, or a trap to make sure you are still thinking, and filling in your own information.

Congratulations, either way. :)

Just keep in mind that the guides are just that...guides...not immigration law. They were posted by people just trying to give us a hand. Use them as reference but remember, the most important thing is to look at all information and fill it in accurate to your situation. If you are filing an I-129F then fill that in.

The G-325a's are indeed tagged to end up in different places and like Mrs. Billy Bong said, if you fill it out online then you only put information on the first page and the other three are filled in automatically and when you print the document, just make sure you print all the pages.

You and your fiance will need to fill out your own forms (4 for each of you) and you will each need to put an original signature on all four pages of your own G-325 pages. Do not submit any photocopies of the form or the I-129F. These need to be originals signed and dated.

Good Luck

As someone mentioned - and to be clear - if you fill out the form on your computer, you just need to fill out the first page and the other 3 fill themselves automatically. Yes, it is filled out in conneciton with "I-129F (Fiance)" (for the K1, spouse if it's K3).

The G325A cannot be saved on your computer (the I-129F can) , but again, the fact that it fills itself out makes it not such a big deal.

And in the grand scheme of this process - filling out a form in quadruplicate is THE LEAST ridiculous part of the process.

I-129F/K1

1-12-07 mailed to CSC

1-22-07 DHS cashes the I-129F check

1-23-07 NOA1 Notice Date

1-26-07 NOA1 arrives in the post

4-25-07 Touched!

4-26-07 Touched again!

5-3-07 NOA2!!! Two approval emails received at 11:36am

5-10-07 Arrived at NVC/5-14-07 Left NVC - London-bound!

5-17-07??? London receives?

5-20-07 Packet 3 mailed

5-26-07 Packet 3 received

5-29-07 Packet 3 returned, few days later than planned due to bank holiday weekend

6-06-07 Medical in London (called to schedule on May 29)

6-11-07 "Medical in file" at Embassy

6-14-07 Resent packet 3 to Embassy after hearing nothing about first try

6-22-07 DOS says "applicant now eligible for interview," ie: they enter p3 into their system

6-25-07 DOS says interview date is August 21

6-28-07 Help from our congressional representative gives us new interview date: July 6

7-06-07 Interview at 9:00 am at the London Embassy - Approved.

7-16-07 Visa delivered after 'security checks' completed

I-129F approved in 111 days; Interview 174 days from filing

Turboguy,

Once upon a time they did, these days the 4 copies don't go anywhere except the case file or the trash. The information on them gets transmitted electronically to wherever needs it.

The form is obsolescent, but probably not at the top of the priority list of things that needs to be reviewed and revised or scrapped.

Yodrak

They go different places would be my thought. Probably one stays at your regional center, one at nvc and one at the embassy.
