Hi.

Do I need to bring the original forms I-864 and I-864a during my interview or it just okay the scanned copies?

You need originals because they need the original signatures.

Thank you. And what about the financial docs like irs,w2? Do I still need the originals? I have it already but scanned copies.

Unless originals were sent to the NVC you need original signatures at interview. Any tax returns or transcripts can be photocopies.

In reality the US doesnt give out "original" w2s like other countries do for their tax docs. I've recieved an email every year and printed them off. Hubs gets something more official looking but its still not what I'd call an original.

My husband's w2's are downloaded and thats what I have and he sent it to my email. I thought its considered original.

Yes we did passed the forms I864 and I864a.. the forms were downloaded and signature.

Just my opinion, I would bring all the originals and at least 2 copies of each. This way you are able to satisfy the requirement to bring originals and offer a copy of each.
