So I browse through VJ on weekends coz thats the only time I can spare time and energy to read posts and learn from. I feel like the idea of sharing your timeline here with others is great, and keeps everyone from feeling isolated and depressed.

I feel like dwheels76 is doing a great job at maintaing the CC to Interview spreadhseet. Cannot thank you enough for all the effort you put into that spreadhseet.

Spreadhseet is a great way to read and analyze timelines of multiple people as it follows a neat and clean format and all the info is on the same webpage and you dont have to bounce between several pages to glean the information. With that being said, I feel like this community should re-start the Scan date to CC spreadsheet. The latest one was started by rgarciasantos but this spreadsheet appears to be dead now. And I was very sad when I saw it wasnt being updated anymore.

My understanding is that now we have a monthy thread in place of this spreadhseet whihc is labelled NVC Filers - Month Year. I personally feel its much easier to glean info from a spreadsheet as compared to reading posts in a thread where discussion tend to digress at time. Do others agree with me on this point?

Thanks

Thanks for the compliment. The NVC Filers Month Year was always here not new. And was admined by our dear Saylin who is also the creator of the Scan date to CC spreadsheet. She doesn't admin anymore and has left and taken the spreadsheet down.

Anyone is welcome to start it. It is of no interest to me. But you or anyone else can do it.

The monthly thread is already maintained by me and varies other people. So I am sure anyone else can pick up the spreadsheet. I wish rgarciasantos didn't start hears. If you aren't in this to stay why bother. It could have been passed on to someone else. (sorry I am venting).

I wish I had time to take on such a responsibilty. I work full time plus commute to work takes 2 hours (someitmes more) each day for me. I would be willing and more than happy to share this responsibility if someone else is interested as well. Any takers here please?

I personally think that the wait game after submitting AOS and IV packages and anxiously waiting for Case Complete is as stressful of a period in the application process as any other. And knowing what scan dates NVC is working on and how many more days before your turn comes for Case Complete would be very helpful in terms of relieving the general feeling of anxiety for those going through the process.

Agreed, grad student, that period did carry some anxiety for my wife and I. I can help run this file if we divide and conquer. Would like to give back to the community after it's helped us so much. Let me know how I can assist.

This is a very important DIY site and there are a lot of people all over the world relying on the information provided here. I have been thinking about this spread sheet and I'm glad that there are some of us who have the initiative to have the Scan Date to Case Complete titled spread sheet up and running again.

I feel that there should be more than one admin for the spread sheet esp if you're looking at it in the long run... i.e .. benefit for the users here in years to come. I know managing a spread sheet means commitment and I for one am more than willing to be part of it. Soooo .. if it's not too late .. count me in guys!

Yes a few admins of the spreadsheet would be divine. Like my spreadsheet there are two that have access to update. If I am gone I have my go to people to pass off. Hopefully I won;t get pissy and just leave without tagging someone. I never thought when the person who started the Interview thread back in 2012 would leave 4 months later. But here I am. And well as my husband says you are an addict. But he knows ya'll are my peeps.

Just wish the scan date was on the timeline and timeline was tied to posting. You can;t post unless you have a timeline.

A spreadsheet like that takes a lot of time and effort. Saylin did it for years and frankly the toll of answering the same questions over and over WILL get to anyone. Im surprised Im even still here to be honest. But its still winter! Lol

I suggest several people who can add items, but you will need one person who is a perfectionist to make sure items are correct. Head admin if you will.

Ok great. Was a busy day yesterday for me. Just saw all the responses from people willing to help and share the work load of upkeeing the spreadsheet. Made my day!

And yes, I agree with ditdot and dwheels that there need to be multiple moderators updating and managing the spreadsheet, so its not dead once a particular user decided to stop using VJ (which by all fairness is understandable when people finally get to US and are occupied with other issues in life such as finding a job and stuff).

Should we start a new thread to discuss the specifics of starting the spreadsheet? I really like how dhweels has his cute form that a person fills in to report his dates, which are then input into the spreadsheet. Dhweels (or anyone else with knowledge), do you mind guiding us newcomers to this?
