Taxi in Kiev. Uklon good experience. Uber?

I speak minuscule Russian and no Ukrainian.

I have had very good experiences with Uklon taxi in Kiev. Never a problem and the wait is no longer than calling a taxi.

Android app and can book on the Web site. Probably iPhone as well.

Their map app is not as good as google maps so they may have trouble determining your pickup/dropoff locations but I usually managed to work it out.

If other people have similar good experiences, then maybe we can get it added to the embassy page.

Has anyone tried Uber in Kiev?

I really like Uklon Tax app. A little tricky figuring out the right address to load into your favorites.

For the IMOM Medical center for the medical it is:

Antonovycha Volodymyra street, 16

Main railway station

Central Railway Station (Pryvokzalna pl., 1)

Embassy

Tankova street, 4

Apparently Tankova street is the same as Sikorskoho St, 4. Uklon recognizes Sikorskoho St, 4 now. Not sure it did last time I was here.

Well, I just tried Uber and it was a bust. One driver available in the center of Kiev and he could not find our location nor answer our calls.

In Moscow, St Petersburg, and Chelyabinsk Russia, I have had great luck with Uber. Minutes to arrive, very cheap.
