I am glad everyone has been getting good news today.

 

I have received an approval notice dated 02/28/17 and nothing since, not even an online update. I got on multiple tier-2 officer calls because there was a typo in my last name where -I believe the lawyer made that typo- an "a" was replaced with an "e" and I was told they won't produce the card until I got the RFE to send documentation proving the correct spelling (even though they have a copy of my original green card). Today, however, I received an e-notification that my card, like almost everyone today, has gone into production. I called again and spoke to a tier-2 officer and he said if the typo was my fault then I will be liable for sending back the card and paying for the production of a new one. I told him that it's a minor error in my last name and he agreed, and I also said that I applied for naturalization so I will just correct the error at the oath ceremony and he agreed. He said to just keep my N-400 receipt and original green card with me when I travel because an office might ask for a clarification on the name.

 

Anyways, what is the timeline like from "Card went to production" to "Card mailed" to actual delivery?

I just received an approval letter today, dated March 17!!!

 

Letter says I should NOT travel internationally till I receive the new card...

We are going to Japan within a month to introduce our baby to my family.  

Even though the officer at my local USCIS told me to come back AFTER the trip to get stamp if I do not have the card yet then, I may need to go get it before the trip as the letter says so.

I am hoping I will receive the new card by then.  But I doubt it.

 

My approval letter is not having my full name on it.  Is it an issue?

It's only showing my first initial and last name (I do not have middle).

Hello. Yukster. So You don't need an interview for your ten year GG? They just send you an approval letter then mail the new card to you? Which service center are you. I have been waiting for ten months.

I didn't need to go to an interview.  They will send the new card within 60 dsys.  My service center is Vermont. I have been waiting for more than a year by now. 

I think most of the people do not need to go to an interview.

My "Card went to production" on March 17th and "Card mailed" on March 21st. Hopefully I should get it today or tomorrow.

Hi All! I called USCIS on the phone today,and I spoke to the 2. Officer. Now I am confuse. I called them 2 weeks ago too,that time the 2. Officer told me my case in the federal plaza New York,and they waited my RFE,to transfer from Vermont to make the decision. Today the 2. Officer told me my case in Vermont still pending,and never was in New York,she made a email request for me,and except an answer in two weeks. I don't know what to think now.

Hi all, 

 

I was told that my case has been approved by my lawyer. My case status online has not been updated yet nor have I received anything in mail.

 

Below is a general timeline of the progression of my case.

 

Case received by USCIS- 2/25 2016

Biometrics appointment- 3/29 2016

Approval- 3/24 2017 (the official date of approval is unknown since I have not received anything from USCIS)

I received my green card today (once again my online status didn't change, it's stuck at "your new card is beeing produced") I never received an approval letter.

 

Finally this I-751 journey is over!
