I'm considering contacting the ombudsman and/or the congressional representative. Has anyone ever had experience with these two venues? I don't want to keep annoying the USCIS, but it's crazy that they can't provide any information!

 

I know someone whose N400 interview went all well and the officer asked if he had done the Selective Service or not, and gave him a "Decision can't be made" notice. He was told to call Selective Service and get his status, etc etc, and that he'll have another interview scheduled. He was placed again on "In Line for Interview" and I recommended he'd contact the Ombudsman. A couple days after he did, he got a notification that he was scheduled for an Oath Ceremony. I am not sure if it's because of the Ombudsman, but it seems so.

Hi Guys!   I got RFE on February 13. I missed 3 question when I sent my I-751. I sent back the missing document on the 15,since then nothing happened. I called USCIS this morning I spoke to the 2. Officer she was super nice,She told me Vermont service center didn't sent yet my RFE to my local office yet to finalize my case,She said be patient and wait.

I got my approval letter dated February 28th, and my status hasn't been updated since. I find this really odd.

I don't think it will change until they produce your card.

Last week when I called the tier 2 officer regarding my case, I asked why my online status didn't change when he told me my case has been approved and he replied that a lot of case status are not updated but it doesn't mean they are not moving forward.

Maybe this is also the case for you.

The officer told me on the phone my case is in the local office.  This is normal to transfer my case from Vermont?

It seems it's taking about a month after the date of the letter than people receive their new card. I got my letter on February 14th and my status had not changed from 'received' until yesterday it said my  card was being produced on march 9th, which means I'll probably get it around March 14th or so which will be exactly a month. So don't be surprised if yours doesn't come until sometime around March 28th.

The online status is very slow to update.  We received the approval letter and a text message.  A week later we received an additional text message directing us the the web site.  When we signed in it said the card was produced and we should receive it in 30 or 60 days?  I would think with the money we have spent over the years they might use FedEx instead of the US postal service!
