Hi Reidema, my ROC is still pending and I filed for naturalization.

They charged my credit card, received NOA1 and Biometric appointment.

I actually went to my biometric appointment yesterday, handed them my expired green card (and asked them if they wanted my extension letter) I had no problem at all.

My ROC is still pending so I know that at this stage nothing will happen on my N-400 until my ROC is approved.

So if you are planning on filing N-400, you should go ahead and do it.

I hope this helps!

Thanks so much ! I will go ahead and start the process as well so maybe they will be forced to give me an update on my ROC

I have been checking alot more since quite a few ppl are getting updates..nothing yet for me. just a recap: A green card was stamped on my passport on the 8th of Feb since the extension letter expired. I am so nervous I didn't think it would take so long.

Glad to see so many Feb filers approved and VSC even starting on March.  We still haven't received anything in the mail or seen any update on the case status website.  Let's hope they finish up Feb with in the next couple months.  Stay strong.  (L)

My GC expired on May 26th 2016.

I filed for I-751 and the notice date is March 4th. My drivers license expires on March 4th 2017 and now DMV wont renew my license.

I was advised on the 1-800 number that I need to take an infopass and get another letter extending the GC by another 12 months.

My nearest field office is Newark,NJ but there are no appointments available there and so I took an appointment at the Mount Laurel, NJ office.

Is that OK? Do they normally stamp the passport with a 12 month I-551.

Please advise, I am suoer stressed.

You should try right after midnight because that's when the system resets the calendar. That's how I got my appointment (NYC). When I tried during the regular business hours, NOTHING was available. But I was able to secure a spot when I tried it around 1am or so. And I got a 12 month stamp.

It's pretty amusing how those officers can't seem to agree on the whole stamp ordeal. I went to the field office in NYC, and she stamped it on the spot with no questions asked. I have also filed for the N-400 because it forces them to adjudicate the case for the ROC. It also sucks that CSC get their cards within half the time we take to get it and it is pretty unfair.

It's also weird that some field offices take around 3-4 months for the whole N-400 process from start to oath ceremony, while some offices take around 8 months.

Hi March16filer, I have an appointment for 9:15am tomorrow with the NYC field office and I am planning to be there around 8am in case they take me in earlier. How long did wait for an officer to see you?

Thanks!

Yes, you can't go without an appointment because, in order to get a number, they need to check your appointment confirmation.

Hope this has been helpful.

I mailed my RFE packet today. Sent a medium Fedex box with every single piece of paper that can conceivably be seen as evidence of my bona fide marriage. Hoping to get a response within the next 6 weeks! I really hope it won't take forever.
