Congrats to everyone who has been approved!

 

I have an appointment to try to get a stamp on my passport tomorrow. 

 

I am awaiting a possible RFE or Interview notice. Doubt I'll get approved right away since my husband is in med school in the Caribbean and I am in New York City. Hope the process is over sooner than later!

I just got a stamp on my passport at the Federal Plaza office in NYC. I arrived at 12:20 for a 12:30 appt. I was seen at around 1:20. Then the officer told me to wait on the side. She printed a ton of papers and typed a lot on her computer. Then she took all the papers and put them inside my passport and took all of it to the back. She came back with my stamped passport and told me I'd be receiving a letter in the mail with the decision before the stamp expires. So I guess that means I'll hear something before January, 2018. Reassuring, I guess lol 

 

I am just wondering what all the paperwork she printed was, since it was a lot of pages. I usually read the passport stamp appts are quick but mine wasn't.

hi everyone i have been following this forum in the background for a while now. i checked on my status this morning and it show NEW CARD ORDER FOR PRODUCTION. my NOA 2/1/1016.  i have no kids, had an arrest on my record though the case was later dismissed. i had to provide prove.

That sounds pretty much like my stamp appointment at Manchester NH. I had to wait to one side too till the right official was free. He asked me a couple of questions, typed a lot, then went away taking my passport and green card with him. I waited a couple more minutes, then he came back with the passport stamped and no green card. He said the same thing about waiting for the new card in the mail.

 

I wouldn't worry about the papers: I get the impression that the folks who work at USCIS have to file paperwork just to use the restroom, let alone stamp a passport!

It is very interesting to see how VSC is not following any particular kind of pattern in terms of the approvals.  Speaking from my information verses the 3 that are approved, you could see that there is not a lot of logic there. In any case we will continue to wait.  We have waited for 11 months so a few more weeks will not kill us. Any more takes on this?

Timeline for N-400   
Package Sent ----> 3/13/17

Package Received ---> Friday, March 17, 2017 @ 3:50 am

CC Charged ---->  3/20/2017
NOA ----> 3/23/17                                                                                
Finger Prints ---> 4/14/2017 --> Early FP 4/12/17!!
Inline for an Interview notice received ---> 4/14/17
Interview Scheduled ---> Waiting for letter in the mail to see the actual date.  8/30/17
letter in the mail arrived ---> 9/5/17
Interview Date ---> 10/05/17
