I-751 February 2016 Filers

I received a RFE letter yesterday in the mail. They need me to provide a Police Clearance Letter because my fingerprints are rejected twice as unreadable.

Problem is, I moved to another state about a month ago and I need to provide a letter for each addresses I have resided during the previous 5 years.

Do any of you know if I could request for Police Clearance Letter online for my previous address?

On September 2th, I called to USCIS to request service, Tier 1 officer told me that I will receive return call with-in 7 days or after 7 days I call back to USCIS if there is no response. No call back but Case history changed to September 3rd, service request was completed.

I made another call on September 9th that I have not been reached by any one from USCIS so why the request showed was complete. They transfer me to Tier 2 officer after wait in line for 2 hours. One lady answered very rude to me. You are still in normal process, that is the reason why we sent you the extend letter for one year. You can call back if after nine months waiting. Oh my Gosh, they are never understand how we are sitting on fire to wait for the result of the application. I supposed they were also in same our situation before they became US citizen and worked for USCIS so why they acted like this is our business not theirs.

I filed another online service request on September 26th and one October 3rd. Finally today received an email below.

"On 09/26/2016, you or your representative contacted USCIS concerning your I-751 Form to notify us that you believe your case is outside of our normal processing time. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved.

We have placed your case on a processing hold because the required security checks remain pending. Until we receive the results of these security checks, we cannot move forward on your case. We require the results of security checks before we make a decision on any pending case.

We cannot predict when we will receive the results of these security checks. Please be assured that we will make every effort to make a decision in your case as soon as the security checks are complete.

In the meantime, please continue to use the I-751 Receipt Notice, which extends the validity of your green card for an extra year, allowing you to work and travel abroad, while we process your I-751."

Does anyone please give me any comment or advice. I am totally stress out.

I dont know anything about that but just felt like I should say what I would do if I were you: First, I would call USCIS and explain (they probably know what they sent you) everything and even if they dont know how to answer you(question about your previous state and the online letter), they can let you know what they expect from you, if a copy of a document issued online or if something with a real stamp or signature from an office, stuff like that. If you plan to get one of the letters in your current state in person, you should also ask the officers or people there what is common in these situations, if they know anything. To sum up, I would collect as much information as possible with those two kinds of people who are responsible to give you the document and the ones who are going to approve the document afterwards. I know it sounds like I didnt help much lol I dont know... thats just me

I think if you call USCIS, which can be frustrating I know, they can tell you at least what these security checks mean and why this happened. It is important for us to understand what is going on to our case. Maybe that will ease your mind. I am waiting for my case to be approved when March filers are already getting approved and that makes me fear that there is some kind of RFE coming up but either way, it is all going to work out. Can you please let me know after card produced status showing how much time it took to change the status for delivery of the card

As my status showing from 25 days card being produced no updates so please let me know when you received your card

I think it took around 2 weeks for me, YMMV, but I the average I have seen with others on here is is approx 1-2 weeks. You might want to call them at this stage

Hi everybody! Its my first time writing on here while I am frantically trying to find some answer! I sent my I-751 back on february 22nd; receive my receipt on february 25th and bio done on 3/30 trough Vermont center. As of today, 10/14/16 I didnt hear nothing yet and Im starting to get worried. My husband left for the Air Force and I am leaving soon for Italy! Kinda in a panic right here!!! Should I be worried?

I filed with VSC and will be leaving for the army soon so I sent in a request to expedite based on military reasons and the asked me to mail in my enlistment papers and any other evidence I had for needing my case expedited .. A week after I sent those in, the approved my expedite and now I'm waiting on my background check to be completed to get an answer..

When I called USCIS/VERMONT service center they stated that we are still within the normal time frame and they are still working on cases from SEPTEMBER 2015. They are MONTHS behind. I cant help but be a bit upset that you pay all this money up front, its quicky taken and cashed and we sit months on end for an answer. I know we are within the normal range, however it shouldnt take a year to get all this completed considering it took 2 years just for my spouse to get here. Now hes been here over 2 years and nothings changed. Urghh. VSC is Slowwwwwww!????

Sent out RFE. USCIS should have it by friday 11-4-2016.

Now again, waiting game.

Documents that I included,

3 letter from (one of our friends that we have known for about 6 years and attended our wedding, brother in law, and a supervisor that witnessed our marriage). 2014, 2015 tax returns state and federal including w-2's. Apartment lease and a letter from landlord stating that we rent the place, what we pay for and that we live together. Vechile loan that we got on our both names, some internet bills, cellphone bills, insurance renewals, medical insurance application that was sent to us, explanation from landlord and us explaining why we don't have electrical bills or trash or anything like it because everything is included in rent. My wife's a copy of driver's license that shows the same address, some mail that shows the same address, bank statements to show what and when we pay our bills and what we pay for from our family account. Also 3 issues of our magazine that we are trying to make business of, with both of our names in it and titles and explaining that this is out future business the we plan to make money of. Other relevant documents to show same address with both of out names on it like gym membership, insurance applications etc.

Hope it helps for someone who got RFE.
