It doesn't mean you will receive RFE. After placing the service request they have 30 days to respond. Target date as of work load can mean that you will receive an answer sooner but it also does not mean that they will meet the timeline and give you an answer when they said they would. Call after 30 days after you placed your request. Let's say you put in your request on 08-01-16 so give them a cal on 09-02-16. Basically give them a month to sort it out. You will call thrm again, provide reference # of tour service request and they will tell you if the decision was made either rfe or approved or denied. Or if they are super busy they will say call us back again. Which sucks but nothing we can do just follow the procedure

called USCIS in the morning 8:00 am got a call back just now the tier 2 guy told me the wait time is usually 10 to 13 months. HE also told me USCIS pays another company to update the processing times which not sure if its true. Tier 2 did not let put in a request. I called again just not (did not wait a second) and left a call back for a tie 2 again I really hope we have better luck this time around. Will not stop till this is done we will be traveling in December adn would like to be worry free on our first Vacation back to my husband and my parents country.

I dont think its true but sometimes I think that I called them like 6 times and that's why they sent me RFe:)) in a sense "wanted an answer, here is your answer"

Theres someone from the january filers who got RFE, sent everything on aug, 24th and just got approved so I think you will be approved as soon as they get your documents. Or less than a month later. ?

Based on my past experience working for a government entity it actually is "kinda true".

The reps/IO/officers who look at your cases are uscis/gov employee and the technical stuff such as software tools used for internal processing, website etc are variably contracted to different companies. But eventually its up to the officer who looks at your case if he/she decides to update your case online and making sure to follow though it.

You should I called yesterday did not let me put a service request due to the fact that i was not with my husband but I gave them our case number and spoke to the office the second time around was a really nice person whom I spoke to and i guess it helped to know were waiting hehe we APPROVED today!!

Called the USCIS today, both the representative were accommodating and nice, was able to get a service request, the representative told me that i will receive a letter in 2 weeks don't know what the letter is about, hopefully it's approval and not RFE (fingers crossed)

i also placed a service request 6 days ago, and they didn't mention anything about receiving a Letter. however i was expecting that if i got approved then my online status would change and if doesn't change then based on other people's experience i might be receiving a REF mail.That s just my assumption and i wish its wrong, lol as its still no change of my online status.

Yeah i was anxious with that letter that she said, could be rfe or approval or something else, she never said what was it about. I think we just sit and keep on waiting like waiting for 7 months is not enough yet lol.. I will be posting if ever there is any update on my status. Hope all of us will get approval soon!

Now i know why she told me i will received a letter, just received RFE in the mail today.. sad but me and my husband will start working on additional documentations to send them..
