HI i am wondering when I am going to get a letter for biometric some people who had submitted after me got their letters have tried to call the no on the NOA goes to the voice recording can some one help me how do i get in contact with USCIS I need to ask them

Hi Zimbos - I don't see you on our February filers status report - when did you receive your NOA1?

Here is the website that provides all the contact information for the service centers. The National Service Center can be reached at 1-800-375-5283.

Good luck and you might want to add yourself to the group status report so you can track your application along with other members who filed at the service center that you did.

Hi guys,

I have a quick question, I'm hoping somebody would be able to advise me on this. So my husband (USC) and I have filed our petition on 2/1/16. At that time we didn't have our Wills and Power of Attorneys finalized, so I haven't included them with the application. Since then we got our act together and finalized both, the Wills and the POAs. I am wondering, would it be OK to send these documents now as additional supporting documents, even though I have already submitted my application?

So that's what I initially thought up until I called the USCIS. The old forms esp the sample in the forums is much more clearer on who signs where.

Thanx for proving I'm not nuts.

I maintain that my theory that the they keep immigration numbers low by following the practice of elimination by obfuscation.

...and you may very well be nuts, I'm no psychiatrist - but in this instance you were correct ;) lol

Honestly, I wouldn't.

Acting on the assumption that you felt confident with the info that you provided at the time you filed, then these docs are just a bonus, or top-up to your evidence.

The Pros to sending them now:

- If your original evidence wasn't strong enough, this could avoid having an RFE issued and the subsequent delay that comes with responding.

The Cons to sending them now:

- Potential for the loss of your docs in their system as they try to marry your evidence to your original application

- If there has been any preliminary evaluating done up to this point, it will likely have to be re-reviewed thus making any early progress nullified

- It might trigger a more thorough (read: longer) review - why are they sending more info to us, is there an issue we didn't notice?

To me the cons do not outweigh the very remote pro. If your original evidence wasn't sufficient and you get an RFE you have these docs handy and can turn that response around very quickly from your end AND you'll have the expidited tracking notice from USCIS to do so in an organized (less chance that they will mis-place it) type of way.

These are just my initial thoughts of course... maybe someone else has another perspective...?

Good morning everyone,

Our payment finally cleared the bank yesterday so looking for the NOA1 to show in up the mail box in the next few days. I have a question about some of the members date of I-751 and NOA1 date. I see the NOA1 date is two or three days after their I-751 date. Not trying to pick on anyone but I use these dates as an gauge to somewhat see what Vermont is doing. Do not get me wrong but it takes a few days for the package to get delivered to either Vermont or California. Maybe one or two days for them to open your package, process your payment, produce the NOA1, then a few days mailing time back to your home. I would love to hear someone's story how they received the NOA1 delivered to their home just a few days after sending the I-751. Thanks and I pray you do not take this post the wrong way.

Hi JohnE. I'll share my timeline. I printed the I-751 on 02/22 and took it home. We both signed it the next morning. I placed it with all the evidence and took it to USPS. I mailed it priority. So my I-751 date was in fact 02/23, the same day I mailed it. It arrived at 1pm on 02/25 (I followed by tracking). I noticed they had withdrawn the money by 02/29 and the next day, 03/01 I received an NOA in the mail dated 02/26. This means they received my package on Thursday, went through my application either that afternoon or the next day (Friday) and issued the NOA on that same Friday. Very quick I must admit, but that's what is reasonable with my dates. I also live in MA which is a neighboring state, so it probably got delivered very quickly in both directions. It however, doesn't change the fact that they sent the NOA the day after the received my package.

Our NOA1 was 2/1/2016, so yeah...I'm getting kind of concerned. We called just before 30 days had passed (couple of days ago) and they said "You'll have to wait til 30 days have passed and you can call to enquire." So that's what we're doing tomorrow...calling again.

Have been trying to get hold of USCIS but the number keeps going to a machine how can I speak with a person is there a number apart from the one on the NOA desparate

Zimbos - I just called the number I gave you (and listed on NOA1) and after going through about 4 automated (voice machine) prompts I was connected to an agent. I am not sure what difficulty you are having in reaching someone.

$505 for application

+ $85 for Biometrics for each individual

so, $590 if there are no K2 (dependent) applicants
