Is it compustry my passport must be valid if am summiting my AOS to immigration here in USA.my passport has expired but I still have visa on it and I ll like to know if I can summit the expired passport data with my application.

Yes! It doesn't matter, the evidence USCIS wants during adjustment of status is proof that you were lawfully admitted in the U.S. ( which is in your passport as well the visa and admission stamp with date). Send copies of those and try retrieving a copy of your I-94 electronically as well online. On the day of your interview, the officer will want to see that evidence first hand for verification, so you'll be taking the expired passport itself. I also adjusted status with an expired passport together with an expired F1 visa stamp on it. Good luck!

A passport is not required. However, you will probably need some valid ID (e.g. driver's license, passport, etc.) to get into government buildings to go to the interview, etc. If you have no ID other than your passport, then you probably want to renew it, if possible.
