Will updating a typo delay the NOA2

Hi Everyone,

My fiancé is an American citizen but was born in Peru, so her birth certificate (like most places in the world) followed the dd/mm/yyyy format as opposed to the American mm/dd/yyyy format.

We got out NOA1 on January 5th but we noticed they had made a mistake with her birth date. They either read her birth certificate the wrong way around so they had the month and took that as the day and vice versa, or it was a general typo.

After she contacted them, we received a notice to say that this had been corrected and it was dated 27 January.

I was wondering if anyone has any experience of when something had to be updated on their file, and whether that affected the their time line?

As it stands, the estimate for NOA2 from the CVC is sometime around 15th February so I just wanted to know if I have to temper my expectations!

Not a problem. Bring a copy of the BC to the interview.

Thanks for the reply. We did include a copy of her birth certificate in the pack we sent off (because of her being born in Peru, we included that and her naturization certificate to save having to respond to any RFE's) so I can't see that being a problem, especially as they told us that they corrected the mistake.

I'm just wondering in terms of whether them having to correct this on their system will delay our application in any way?

Sorry to bump this thread but I'm wondering if anyone has an idea of when we might get our NOA2 through?

The birthdate was corrected on the 27th January, after we received the NOA1 on January 5th and we told them the mistake.

So, should we expect the NOA2 in the coming days (as CSC has processed NOA1s dated January 4th) or would that correction put us back 22 days?
