Hi I applied for my husband and it has been approved, now his document is at the visa center I did all the paper work. When I check the status it said paid FOR AOS AND PAID FOR the visa fees and also sees two N/A. I’m a little scared because when I sent my I-130 form, I sent all my document but I don’t think I sent the Archives for marriage certificate, I only sent the marriage certificate. My question is ...will it be a problem. Do you think I can still get approved by the visa center without it?

I am not sure what you mean by "Archives for marriage certificate"?

If youm mean a translation, if yours is not in English, then yes, you will likely get an RFE for that.

On the Status the NA's will also say that for the documents. When the AOS changes from PAID to NA that's Case Complete.

Not having a Marriage certificate will more than likely get you a checklist. That's a requirement. Just have a copy read to send.

When was your scan date (when you sent your documents)?

Hi my husband is from Haiti too. I think you meant if you did not send the "extrait d'archive" of the marriage certificate if you would get a RFE. From my experience I submitted a copy of the marriage certificate and my case was completed and got no checklist. it took them about 5 weeks to review my documents. I am now awaiting to be given an interview date. You will need to bring the original marriage certificate or the "extrait d'archive" of the marriage certificate to the interview. From what I have been hearing it is better to bring the "extrait d'archive" of the marriage certificate to the interview(harder to falsify that one).

P.S. Create a timeline so we can follow what stage you are on.

Good luck

Thank you so much FabieetDavid! this is exactly what I meant. I feel much better after your reply. Another thing I have been thinking about is on my I-130 I did not put my husband has a child but I have included it in the visa application, I hope it will not be a problem. the reason I did not include her is because her mom is applying for her too and her case is almost finish. I hope that will not be a problem.

Thanks again FabieetDavid. :-)
