At the K1 interview it is important to know your intended. There is no right answer but so long as you are comfortable speaking about your current thoughts/hopes/plans it should be enough to assure the CO that you are a real couple if they ask. The only wrong answer is not ever having talked with your partner about what happens after receiving your visa.

Don't stress about the age difference but understand that it does affect how people see children fitting into their life together.

Submit a translation of your communication. People do that all the time, submit translations for their chats, email etc.

If it's fake then you won't get approved, simple as that.

Age difference? I think it's not a red flag at all, it could be more questions why and how did it happen? In our case we have a very big age difference, 30 years and I am older. The age difference was a big issue for both of us before to start dating, before to decide to marry each other, before applying for K1 visa, we both had so many doubts and so many times we said to each other the same, I do not believe you, again and again and on and off, both running away so many times and both always getting back to each other with more love than before. It was a red flag for both of us, it was until we both felt we cannot live without each other and we won't fight our own feelings anymore, we cannot stop loving each other and ...

after understanding each other and getting so close together ... Now, it's no red flags at all! Anybody can ask questions, anybody can doubt but not us, we are sure we wish to spend all our life together, whatever time we have is God and Destiny are giving us such a wonderful Gift! After understanding this, believe me it was not easy at all, we both decided to apply for K1 visa, no doubts, no age difference anymore, he is a man, I am a woman ... in love and we wish to be married, to be together (L)

If you, this Topic Starter, get to the same point, you won't even ask about some red flags, just do whatever needs to be done to keep your love and to build your future together. Good luck to you and to everybody and to any age!

It's not because it's a red flag for the couple. It's is considered a red flag for the embassy where the interview will be at. There just need to be more focus on the interview and more strong evidence especially if it's a hard embassy to get through.

I understand that. What I was trying to say it's if both have no doubts, no worries about their own genuine relationship, they both will answer all many and hard questions with real genuine answers which show the real couple to any embassy officer

The embassy has a fraud sheet and it indicates a large age gap as a fraud indicator among other things and that is why they look deeper into the relationship.

The burden of proof rests with the couple to convince the CO that they are bona fide, no matter what the couple themselves think about their

age difference. After all, it is the CO that will either approve or refuse the visa, who else thinks what is irrelevant.

I understand that. What I was trying to say it's if both have no doubts, no worries about their own genuine relationship, they both will answer all many and hard questions with real genuine answers which show the real couple to any embassy officer

Yes, confidence does shine through with other quality evidence.

unfortunately that's not always enough.

Thank you. I think if there is the real relationship and both are really genuine, apart of all evidence, it does help a lot. I wouldn't go to the official interview with some doubts in my mind, it's a big step, mixed marriage for anybody, better first to be very sure about it.

Of course, visiting, keeping a very close communication, family, friends, all time spent together, we all need to put the effort for to be with the fiance(e), effort from both, it's mostly for the couple yet it's an evidence for the CO. Age or no age, seeing each other just once and 2 years ago doesn't convince anybody, even ourselves.

I did travel 3 times in the last 5 months and I plan to go again very soon, his interview ... I will be there too. And when I traveled, I didn't know it's necessary as an evidence, it was necessary for both of us, missing each other

I understand that we are seeing each other often too because it's so hard being apart.
