I really appreciate all the information that you've shared to us... I just want to ask thought since we are still waiting for the NOA2(approval notice) is it ok to call them to get my MNL#? Or should I wait till we receive the NOA2?

Thanks!

As my friend Greenbaum said, give a little time for the case file to reach NVC then starting calling AND emailing. Info in my link below in my signature, follow the flashing arrow.

As for the NOA2, make sure that you receive that from USCIS, it will be needed after you are married and filing AOS.

Once you receive the NOA2 text message that your case has been approved then wait 10 business days and begin calling the NVC to get your MNL#. Once you have the number it's rock and roll time. Till then there is very little you can do except gather a few documents as listed in the Embassy Letter. Keep in mind that your NBI and CENOMAR cannot be older than 6 months at time of the interview. So be careful to not get those two items too soon.

Hi Everyone!

My visa was approved and I already pick-up my Visa at SM Southmall just today.

I am just worried because the brown envelope is cut on upper left side.. That I can almost see what is inside the packet like my 2x2 picture and birth certificate are visible. Is that normal? I thought that it should be sealed?

Please advise. Thank you!

My fiance has the same thing(he's coming in here in june:D) and my mom had the same thing (she came here 2yrs ago). As long as the packet is not opened or tampered, you're good to go :)

Cut corner is normal, envelope is suppose to have the cut corner.

Just don't want tears in the envelope so keep in protected in your carry-on bag.
