Hi VJ family.

Here's my situation. we filed in January for AOS, did biometrics and now waiting. I just learned that my job is sending me to Scotland on assignment for 3 months and I will have to leave my husband and son here in the US. here's my question. What is the worse that could happen if they require me to attend an interview. Would I have a chance to reschedule until I am back from Scotland or would they make us file all over again. I do know that some people are getting their greencards without an interview in about 90 days after filing AOS. This is what I am hoping for as well. Any advice or knowledge on this matter? He of course can not travel with me as he does not have his advance parole and besides that his son is situated in special ed classes and I don't want to disrupt their adjustment.

Thanks!!

You can reschedule interview as that is a valid reason. It takes a year to get GC, 90 days to get EAD/AP. Work on hubby getting Drivers license, and being independent while you are away.
