Vaccine questions for Juarez interview

The vaccines are a bit expensive if we have them applied in the medical exam. Has anyone gone to IMSS to have the required vaccines applied before going to the consulate medical exam? If so did they accept those vaccines and what proof was required? My husband has his cartilla from seguro social and they simply penciled in dates of the vaccines. Will this be accepted? Anyone have any experience with this? We would really line to avoid paying for the vaccines that can be applied for free in el seguro. THANKS!

I just saw the other post in Spanish and responded to that one but yes, if you can get all the vaccines prior to then that's better. All they do is verify you have all the required ones.

Thats what I have read but I also see older posts saying they got the vaccines before hand and took their cartilla as proof but the vaccines were still applied at the medical exam and they had to pay accordingly. It was a very old post from 2012. We want to avoid the extremely high prices of the vaccines if possible but if they make you pay for them anyway its pointless to have them applied before hand. I wonder if there is someone who recently had the vaccines applied in seguro and were not required to get them again in the medical exam. In your case were the vaccines done before hand or in the medical exam?

Well I don't think I would go with a post from 2012 being that's at least 3 years old. Also, remember that not every situation is the same and there could be a couple different reasons why the information differs. Maybe the cartilla wasn't readable for them to verify all the vaccines or maybe they didn't really have those vaccines. I can't imagine why they would make you do another vaccine for no reason. I believe you can test out of certain vaccines - they have a way of knowing if you did or didn't have it.

My process is going to be different, I have a K-1 in process. Look in the timelines for somebody with the IR-1/CR-1 Visa recently and send them a msg.

They should accept them. I am Bolivian and did DCF in mexico, and they accepted a note from my pediatrician that he sent me from his files in Bolivia with my vaccines.I may have helped that he studied medicine in UNAM and this was noted in his stamp but if that counts then your Cartilla should also count. To make sure, have a dr sign it. Call Clinica Medica Internacional in juarez and ask which vaccines you need specifically because they were different that what I had found online.

My husband just got back from his consular processing in Juarez in April 2016. He said that during the medical exam another gentleman who was there at the same time as him brought in proof of prior vaccinations and still had to get them again...

My husband got his K-3 visa thru Juarez 10 years ago, so may not be the same any more, but he had his cartilla from the IMSS showing all the vaccines and still had to some done at the Medical Facility in Juarez. I do remember they said there was a titre test they could do for some, but can't recall if he did that option.
