Done with the medical last Feb 3 and the results say I have to undergo sputum for 3 days. Had history of PTB last year and was treated but I cant help myself to be sad. The clinic refused my medical records for the last xray which I dont understand. Anyway I just want to vent out. I just hope that everything go well.

I feel for you as I had a similar situation. I had some kind of cloud on my XRAY so they thought maybe I had TB. I had to give Sputum for 3 days as well, and then wait 7 weeks for the results to come back. As well as paying privately for a respiratory specialist to find out what was wrong, CT scan, blood tests, respiratory breathing tests, all cost a small fortune!!

It delayed me for about 8 weeks I think, which was a MASSIVE BLOW. BUT Ive been in the states for 4 months now, and just received my GC. There is light at the end of the tunnel. Fight your way through, and think about all the good that will come at the end.

Been there too and i have a history of primary complex when I was a teenager. Xrays from previous company I worked with showed past scar. Pulmonologist from reputable hospital gave me clearance. When its time for me to have my medical at SLEC I have to repeat everything. Prayers were my powerful weapon. I am hoping for a negative culture. After Christmas, almost the end of my sputum culture, I called SLEC and result came back negative. My prayers were granted. It was a good Christmas gift for me. I am seeing the hassles if in case my sputum will be positive, I will be going to SLEC everyday just to take my meds. But I am also comfortable with the fact that if im positive, treatment will be given right away. You will be fine. Your sputum culture will return negative and you will be flying soon.
