I-129F form and expiry date

Hi everyone!

I am new so I'd like to apologize in advance if I am posting this in the wrong section of the forum or using the incorrect terms. Your patience and guidance is much appreciated :)

I will be visiting my USC fiance in the final two weeks of May 2016. During this trip, we will consolidate all the stuff that we have both prepared and gathered for our I-129F petition.

We are planning to file our I-129F petition, hopefully, by middle of June 2016 after adding additional supporting documents and what not from my visit in May 2016 to the stack of consolidated paperwork.

My question is this... The current I-129F form on USCIS website is supposed to be expiring on 30 June 2016 so is it a good idea to file our I-129F petition in mid June 2016 as planned?

OR

Should we wait until USCIS have issued and uploaded a new and more current form after 30 June 2016?

I am concerned about this because a USC galpal of mine and her British husband had to re-file a USCIS form (not sure which one) because USCIS said the form that they used had expired though they had mailed their application (again, I am not sure at what stage this happened) a long time before the expiry date of the form.

Any thoughts or experience on this? Thanks in advance.
